Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Trial Test and Labvision AI Homework?
Trial Tests are an essential part of our educational program. Students in Grade 5 and Grade 6 Term 1 participate in Selective trial tests, while High School students up to Grade 10 complete subject-specific trial tests on a weekly basis. These tests are timed and standardized, meaning every student takes the same test, making the scores comparable. Naturally, the High School testing schedule is more rigorous compared to Primary School one.
On the other hand, Labvision AI homework modules (such as Wisdom Wizards, Brilliance Bootcamp, Knowledge Nexus,..) are adaptive. While these modules are tailored to the student’s grade and term, the selection of questions adjusts based on the student’s performance. Each module allows for 10 attempts, with varying questions in each attempt based on prior performance. Even correctly answered questions may reappear if the system detects that the initial response took an unusually long time, for example.

Labvision functions more as a learning platform than a testing platform. Achieving a perfect score is nearly impossible as the software continuously presents more challenging questions. Parents should refrain from comparing their child’s scores in Labvision attempts with others, as the scores are not directly comparable.
Labvision's approach differs from traditional WEMT-style homework. We understand that parents of newly joined students may have questions. Please feel free to ask, and we'll be happy to provide further explanations.

Why are Trial Tests assigned a week before class?
Our approach to trial tests is highly practical. Students complete the tests at home and review their incorrect answers independently, as they have access to both the questions and solutions immediately after the test. In the following class, any questions that remain unclear are discussed in detail. This method is proven to support effective learning retention.

Do you disclose student rank in trial tests?
We display the highest weekly score on-screen for student reference but do not provide rankings. This decision is based on data interpretation, not technological limitations. Given our small, selectively chosen cohort, internal rankings would not meaningfully reflect broader population standings. Instead, sharing top scores and the number of students achieving them offers clear targets, highlighting the similar achievement levels within our group.

Are all classes taught by Siba Sir?
Yes, all classes are taught exclusively by Siba Sir, as he is our only tutor. We haven’t hired additional teachers because parents specifically prefer that Siba Sir personally instructs their children.

Is there a direct admission process to Siba Sir’s tuition without entrance test?
No, admission requires an entrance test followed by a screening interview. The test is IQ-based, designed to identify students with high aptitude rather than assessing subject knowledge in Reading or Math. Unlike diagnostic tests, it serves as an elimination test for selecting a small group of students for our paid tutoring sessions. For more details, please refer to the 'Paid Tutoring Admission Rates' section on the Entrance page.

When will I receive the invoice?
Invoices are typically generated in the second week of the current term and sent to the parent’s registered email address.

Can we re-enroll if we discontinue a term?
Learnikx Education maintains a mandatory 2-year gap policy for student re-entry.
Learnikx Education (led by Siba Sir) is known for its selective admission process and long-term student retention. Our students are carefully chosen based on their potential and typically progress from selective school preparation through their high school years under Siba Sir's guidance.
However, we understand that there are very rare instances when our tutoring services may not meet the expectations of students or parents. We respect these decisions and the circumstances leading to them.
Given that situations typically do not change frequently, we do not encourage frequent changes of mind. Therefore, should a former student wish to re-enroll, a minimum period of 2 years must have elapsed since their last attended class.

What happens if my child misses a class? Are recordings shared?
We do not record our online sessions. Although the meeting software supports session recording, we respect the preferences of our parents. In a recent survey, 92% of parents expressed that they did not want the sessions to be recorded. Unlike other tutoring centers, our sessions are highly interactive, with students contributing more than 50% of the time. Parents were particularly concerned about their child's name and voice being recorded, which is why we chose not to enable this feature.
For missed classes, we have a fair and flexible policy. We do not bill for up to two missed classes per term (policy came into effect from 1st Jan, 2025). If a class is missed, the student will still receive all relevant materials, including trial tests and whiteboard content, ensuring they stay on track with their learning. However, the missed class will not be included in the invoice.
Example: If your child attends 8 out of 10 classes in Term 1, you will only be billed for 8 classes. However, your child will still receive all 10 sets of trial tests, homework, and whiteboard notes.
Our goal is to be fair and practical. We understand that things come up, and we want to ensure your child still has access to all the learning resources, even if they miss a class.

Can I resale Preptive trial test and class materials received?
At Learnikx, we provide our students with weekly consolidated PDFs containing full trial tests (all subjects), answer keys, and other class materials. This allows students to revisit and revise our content after completing online tests. We share a substantial amount of study materials each term.
While the PDFs are not encrypted or watermarked to facilitate easy printing, they are strictly for the personal use of students who have paid the tuition fees. Resale of these materials is strictly prohibited.
Please be aware:
1. Any attempt to sell our materials on Facebook Marketplace or other Facebook groups will result in legal action.
2. Our digital forensics team is actively monitoring various forums and marketplaces for unauthorized resale attempts.
3. We will pursue legal action against offenders, even if a sale has not been completed.
Unlike some competitors, we provide open access to our trial test papers. However, we expect our students and their families to adhere to our usage restrictions.

I can see that Siba Sir teaches high school students mostly. Why he is not teaching for HAST/EduTest school transfers as there is good demand for such tuitions?
We specialize in high school tutoring targeted towards HSC, with a strong emphasis on Science. Our high school classes fill up quickly, and we're known for our commitment to helping students excel in their high school journey.
Why we don't offer HAST/EduTest tutoring: We believe in offering tutoring only when it genuinely benefits students. We don't create courses simply because there's a demand for them. This is why we begin tutoring from Grade 5 onwards, as we believe younger children are generally not ready to gain significant advantages from formal tutoring.
Similarly, we don't provide HAST/EduTest school transfer tutoring because we're not convinced of its benefits. We encourage students to remain at their current schools and concentrate on their high school curricula focused on HSC.
